This was not a photographic trip (although I did take a camera and a couple of lenses) but a family cruise with Mrs. M's daughter and her family so there are only brief notes on the itinerary and some images in a new Norwegian Fjords Cruise Gallery.
12th July 2025 and we set off for Southampton where we were booked into the Triangle Car Park adjacent to the cruise terminal. Google quoted a travel time of under 2 hours but it took us 3 hours to get there; the traffic near to the cruise terminal was atrocious. Having parked up it was a short walk to The Iona, our floating hotel for the next 7 days, and we were soon on board and exploring.
The itinerary was as follows:
Day 1 - At Sea
Day 2 - Stavanger
Day 3 - Olden
Day 4 - Flam
Day 5 - Haugesund
Day 7 - At Sea
On Day 3 (15th July) we caught an open-top bus to visit the glacier at Olden
On Day 4 (16th July) we took an excursion to the waterfall at Skulestadmo with a stop at a hotel at Stalheim on the return journey from where there was an amazing view down the valley.
A very enjoyable break.
