LOW AND HIGH

11/01/2021
11th January 2021 started off badly, an error message on my Panasonic TZ90 camera telling me that there was a "system error (zoom)". A quick check on the Internet revealed that this was a pretty terminal error. Three phone calls and about 2 hours later I had ascertained that the camera needed to be sent to a company called DK Audio Visual Services to see if it could be repaired under warranty. By 2:30 I had parceled the camera up, taken it to the Post Office and it was on it's way to Horley. We'll wait and see what the outcome is.
The day did, however, finish on a very high note when one of my images from Dungeness, which I had given the title My Fishing Days Are Over, amazingly came first in the Banbury Camera Club 2020/21 Digital Photography Competition No.3. The judge said that "the composition is first class" and it is "a lovely landscape picture". I am particularly proud of this achievement as there are so many talented photographers in the club, without doubt much more talented than me. As they say "every dog has it's day"
