I decided to return to Watlington Hill to have another look at the red kites. The visit was slightly disappointing as there were far fewer around than on my previous visit. I did learn at least one lesson; have your camera ready as soon as you leave the car.....as I walked towards my chosen viewpoint 2 birds swooped low in front of me but I played it cool and didn't rush to get my camera out; there'd be plenty of opportunities later.
