As well as entering the Woodford Halse Photography Group weekly competition I also enter the monthly Banbury Photography Group competition and later on the 7th of July I learned that I had also gained the most votes in their monthly competition for which the theme was "Contrasts". I entered an image taken at Swanage only a couple of months earlier where the sea displayed a different surface texture either side of a boat, hence the "contrast" As winner for June it was my task to suggest a theme for the July competition and I selected Rivers and Canals.
