The theme for this week was History. A very unfortunate event allowed me to submit an image of the famous tree at Sycamore Gap on Hadrian's Wall into this category as someone had decided to fell the tree only a few weeks after I had visited and, like nearly every visitor does, taken several images. The fact that the tree was no longer there meant that I could legitimately enter the image as it was now history. Given that the story of the felling of the tree made national headlines and was apparently reported around the world probably helped my cause and I received17 likes and was therefore featured on the cover for the following week.
